The use of Social Networking for recruitment

So this is a really interesting topic i've just discovered. A lot of employers these days actually google search potential employees and of course find your facebook/bebo/myspace page.

So do you think this is an invasion of your privacy or should people be free to read all about you if you're willing to put it out there on the internet?

I don't know if i'm comfortable with the idea of a potential employer researching me through my "private" page. I mean our facebook pages aren't really a reflection of us as an employee. What do you think? Do you think you would edit the content in your page if you knew someone was looking at it and judging you for a potential job?

Also, did you know that uploading pictures onto facebook gives the administrators full rights to use said pictures however they want!!!! And that even when you've deleted your facebook profile its still there for the admin crew to use. And if you know how people can still get access to it after it becomes inactive?
